The Diamond Standard

DiamondGlow at Brobst Facial Plastic Surgery

Our skin does not always get the care it deserves. This may lead to your skin appearing dull, dry, congested, or uneven. A DiamondGlow treatment may be the easiest and most efficient way to correct these problems and leave your skin feeling polished. Our master aesthetician, Lauren, can customize your treatment to meet your skin’s needs.

Recharge your glow

What is a DiamondGlow?

DiamondGlow (previously known as both DermalInfusion and SilkPeel) is a non-invasive skin treatment that uses a handheld device to deliver a customized blend of active ingredients to your skin. The treatment is designed to exfoliate the skin, extract impurities, and infuse the skin with serums and other active ingredients to improve the appearance of the skin.

At Brobst Facial Plastic Surgery in Plano DiamondGlow is often used to treat a variety of skin concerns, including active acne, blackheads, superficial pigmentation, fine lines, skin dehydration, and improving a rough texture.

DiamondGlow vs. Microdermabrasion

A microdermabrasion actively exfoliates approximately three microns of keratin, or dead skin, from the surface. Traditionally these are crystal-based treatments, but more modern devices utilize a diamond tip to mechanically remove superficial skin. A DiamondGlow treatment utilizes a diamond head that is tailored to your skin sensitivity and amount of keratin removal. More importantly, the treatment head can purge congested skin and infuse topical serums directed toward hydration with hyaluronic acid, pore cleansing utilizing salicylic acid, fighting free radicals with vitamin C, correction of dyspigmentation with brightening agents, and fostering rejuvenation with growth factors. This provides a secondary benefit for your skin during a single treatment.

A Clean Start

DiamondGlow Preparation and Procedure

A DiamondGlow procedure can be an in-and-out, 30-minute treatment or can be extended into a multi-focused aesthetic treatment lasting over an hour. The technique and experience are operator dependent, and our patients benefit from the experience of our master aesthetician, Lauren. The procedure itself is painless and relaxing. Afterward, you may have some mild redness, but this quickly fades if present.

Exfoliate and Infuse

DiamondGlow Recovery, Results, and Aftercare

Your skin will look great following a DiamondGlow treatment, and there are no specific aftercare limitations. You should discuss your regular skincare routine with your provider and see if you would benefit from holding off on using any of your products for the first 24-48 hours t to help minimize any irritation. Applying a moisturizer and sunscreen is always recommended.

Maintaining your DiamondGlow results

A DiamondGlow treatment gives an immediate result. It is frequently paired with other services that may alter the frequency of subsequent interventions for convenience but are most commonly repeated at 4-week intervals to maximize your skin appearance. As a zero downtime treatment, it can be performed as needed prior to special events when you may want to look your best. The effects and duration can be maximized if retinol is used in conjunction with a supportive skincare routine.
