We understand that each of our patients come to our practice with their own specific desires. For some, the visit is the first step toward a cosmetic procedure and possibly the only surgery they will ever look forward to.
For others that have suffered one of life’s accidents or have had some facial pathology removed, their goals are focused on restoration back to their former self. Our goal is to meet you wherever you are and provide a warm, comforting place tailored to your individual needs. We hope that these plastic surgery resources help you on this journey.
the first stepis to secure your consult time
Once you have made the decision to come in for a visit, the first step is to secure your consult time and date by phone or email. Our care coordinator will then provide you with additional information to help you become more knowledgeable about the services you inquired about and our practice. Hopefully, this will answer more of your questions and help you become more familiar with who we are and our philosophy about your wellbeing. Also, you will receive the essential documents to help make the most of your time and to allow us to customize the experience prior to your arrival. We are proactive in everything we do to avoid surprises and alleviate your concerns. If at any time you have further questions, our care coordinators are never more than a phone call away.
you will be made to feel comfortable
When you arrive you will be made to feel comfortable, and we will quickly see you back to our dedicated consult room. Initially, you will meet your care coordinator and she will assist you with any additional questions that have come to your mind. Then, Dr. Brobst will capture a set of digital photographs that will be later used to help further the discussion of treatment options. Following this we will sit down with plenty of time to discuss your desires, conduct a pertinent medical history and exam, and discuss at length how we can realize your goals.
Often when we are discussing cosmetic changes, manual manipulation of your tissues and digital imaging can be invaluable. Although this is not intended to be an exact representation of the end result, demonstrating changes visually often helps to communicate our goals for a personalized, natural result.
Nowhere is imaging more important than in primary and revision rhinoplasty where changes in millimeters create significant changes to the facial aesthetic. At the end of our time, you should have a clear understanding of your presenting condition and the available treatment options. Our goal is always for you to have a complete understanding of all the options, understand why each option might be better or worse for you, and for us to have the same mind when is comes to a treatment plan. Your care coordinator will then conclude with further details about the logistics and financial arrangements for your skin care, non-surgical, and surgical treatment decisions. In the end, we hope this is an enjoyable experience and the beginning of a long-term relationship based on excellent, focused care.
we don’t believe in surprises
At Brobst Facial Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics, we don’t believe in surprises and our utmost concern is maximizing the safety and optimizing the results of your procedure. Therefore, we have specific instructions developed through years of experience for each of our interventions. Several general guidelines concerning modifications to your usual medication and herbal supplement regimen are relevant to all invasive interventions and are also utilized. For most “no downtime”, non-invasive procedures, little change in lifestyle or medical workup is required.
However, for surgical interventions, our care coordinator will guide you through the steps necessary for an uneventful and rewarding experience. Preoperative laboratory and diagnostic testing is routinely required to undergo safe anesthesia, and occasionally further medical workup is prudent.
As safety is our primary concern, procedures requiring deep sedation or general anesthesia are only performed in facilities accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JAHCO) or Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Additionally, the anesthesiologists we utilize are the same ones we would select for our loved ones with years of experience and a commitment to your comfort. Before and after your procedure, good communication is essential. Therefore, we will be in constant contact to alleviate any concerns you may have and be available to answer all your questions as they arise. The more prepared you are, the more comfortable and stress free it will be.
driving instructions are provided to ease your travel
For patients in and around the north Texas area, driving instructions are provided to ease your travel. Alternatively, Apple Maps or Google Maps on your smartphone can be used for real-time directions.
For patients making arrangement from out of town, the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is fortunate to be served by two major hubs for airline travel. The first, and largest, is DFW International Airport, it is hub to American Airlines and home to approximately 20 other carriers. It is just southwest of our office and a short 25min drive via Hwy 121. Love Field, home of Southwest Airlines , is seated in north Dallas and is a quick 30min commute via Dallas North Tollway. Service to and from the airport is best by car and we can help you with the many options available.
As for your accommodations, we have looked closely at the nearby options and we have a few premier places that we recommend. The Nylo Plano at Legacy offers urban style loft accommodations with free shuttle service to and from the office and the nearby Shops at Legacy. If you would like to be within walking distance of the upscale shopping and fine dining of the Shops at Legacy, the Marriot at Legacy Town Center will meet your desires. Finally, the Sheraton Stonebriar and Westin Stonebriar hotels offer full spa services and access to a Tom Fazio designed, 18 hole championship golf course. Each of these are great options and you should ask about our pre-arranged rates.
